Description

Let’s get real; toe covers are a great way to deal with cold weather. They can be pulled over the toe of most cycling shoes and left on for the whole winter, and people do more miles on 45-degree days than they do on 25-degree days (even in Canada). Our toe cover uses our AmFIB softshell fabric to keep out the wind and rain and we positioned the band to sit behind toe spikes so that they will work with road or mountain shoes. Kevlar on the underside increases durability while the hook and loop closure makes the fit adjustable and the mounting quick.

Features

• AmFIB® Softshell provides superior wind and water protection.
Innovative power-band secures front of shoe cover under toes.
• Kevlar® bottom with hook and loop closure allows easy on and off.
• BioViz® reflective elements for low-light visibility.
• For road or mountain bike shoes.

Fabric

46% Polyamide, 24% polyurethane, 18% polyester, 11% Kevlar®, 1% elastane

Care

USE SIMPLE DETERGENTS WITH NO ADDITIVES Never use detergents with fabric softeners, perfumes or any additive type product. The general rule of thumb is the simpler the better. Many detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance. Typically the best detergents to use will have "Clear" or "Free" in their names. Don't pour the detergent directly onto the clothing, put it in the washer first, when you start the water. If something is not functionally working, but is not dirty, try rinsing it twice in warm to hot water. This will help get rid of the harmful surfactants. READ THE CONTENT CARE LABEL: On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece. On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions. On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves YOU CAN USE THE DRYER, CAREFULLY: If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting). This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities. If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.

Great solution

I always struggle with cold feet.

I ride regular shoes out of winter and dedicated protective low-temperature shoes within the coldest season.

In between seasons, the first are too cold and the latter not necessary.

So, I went for those toes. They do an amazing job because I can wear the light shoes+toes combo down to 6C or so.

My only downside is that they are a bit short(for me) and it is tricky to avoid the velcro not covering the end of the cleat, making it difficult to engage. Then, I have to pull well to fit the toe over the shoe.

One more centimeter length would make this all easier.

I ride a regular 44-size shoe, normal width, and Pearl Izumi merino socks.

Thx.
